The Home Support Worker / Personal Care Attendant program prepares students to deliver appropriate short or long-term assistance and support services in either a long-term care facility or in home care. The program will educate and train graduates with the necessary tools and skills to deliver appropriate, timely, and respectful client-focused care to the elderly, persons with disabilities, or those recovering from illness or injuries. Graduates can expect careers in long-term care facilities or private home care.

It is important to note that employers will expect individuals to provide their own transportation to assigned work sites. Successful graduates will meet the requirements to receive certificates for HCP Standard First Aid/CPR Level C, Canadian Restaurant & Food Services Association, National Food Safety Training Program, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
