Before You Apply


A post secondary education is one of the best investments you can make in your future. Once you have decided the program you will be taking, it’s time to think about how you will pay for it. You may need a student loan.


Canada – Newfoundland and Labrador Student Financial Assistance Program


The Government of Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador work together to provide student financial assistance. Both loans and grants are available to help you access and pay for post-secondary education. With one application you will be assessed for both federal and provincial student loans as well as most student grants.

While in School


Stay in touch while you’re in school. Our lives can often change while completing our post-secondary education. We move, get married, or make other significant life changes. You may switch from full-time studies to part-time studies or vice versa. Students have changed institutions partway through a semester. It is very important that you notify us of these changes as they happen. Communication is the key


Repaying your Student Loan


Repaying your student loan will build a solid credit rating and set you on a positive path for your future.
